Typically, your guests choose their main course option when RSVPing to your wedding, but since this is in advance of the wedding, it is nice to give your guests a refresher on what meal they will be eating during the reception. The first course of appetizers, salad, or soup, the main course of the entree and sides, and the third course listing what dessert is being served. The menu should include the dishes you are serving listed by each course. If you want to add a more personalized touch, add the names of the bride and groom, or date of the wedding. It is important to title the menu card with “menu” or another clear signifier so that your guests know what the purpose of this stationery is. Another option is to include a stack of menus at the buffet line or numerous menu signs surrounding the buffet line. If you are having a buffet at your reception, you can choose to have a menu at the table setting for each guest, or you can opt to have just a few menus at each of the tables.
